Coxhoe Primary School

As part of Autism Awareness Week, we were lucky enough to have Kerrie and Becca from the North East Autism Society (NEAS) share a really helpful assembly for us here in school.   They celebrated all of our differences and how they make us special. They also helped to explain to the children how lots of autistic children and adults can feel about some everyday situations and how we can be helpful.  Our children were amazing and the NEAS staff were very impressed with their caring and mature attitudes. We have more activities planned during the week in classes to continue to raise awareness.  We also look forward to further work with NEAS in future.
