What have we been up to in our Computing lessons?

Year 3/4 - Making Music!

Year 3/4 have spent this term learning how to create their own music! They have explored the difference between rhythm and temp and have created their own rhythm, experimenting with beats per minute. They used Busy Beats to experiment with the creation of their own piece of music, considering pitch, rhythm and melody. Listen to an example below! I think we may have some future DJs!

Year 5 - How to Videos!

Year 5 have been learning how to create videos this term! They looked at a range of film techniques and framing and worked effectively as a team to record footage, import media and edit their videos together! They decided to create how to videos and created a range of wonderful how to videos to help younger children when playing with different equipment!

Check out an example below!

Year 6 - News Reports!

Year 6 have been working hard this term learning how to create videos! They have explored different camera techniques, framing and video editing! They combined their Computing skills with their English skills and created some fantastic summaries of the book Leaf, in the style of news reports! They worked effectively as a team to record footage, import media and edit their videos together.

Check out some of the amazing videos they filmed and edited below. I think we see some future TV presenters in the making!
