"Students need to be given the chance to CREATE with technology, not just learn to use it!"

What our children say

Introducing our Year 6 Computing Ambassadors - Jack, Jennifer and Poppy:

Hi! We're the computing ambassadors: Poppy, Jennifer and Jack. We are passionate about all things technology and bringing this school to the top of the chart when it comes to computing and tech. Computing lessons are AMAZING because, just think of all the amazing things you learn. Learning is good but is it always fun? Well, computing is! At this school, we do a range of computing from presentations to quizzes, coding and more. In computing, we always have fun and learn new skills.

Pupil Voice:

In computing, we have been learning how to make video games on 2DIY3D. We have enjoyed everything and don't think anything could be improved! (Rose and Chloe - Year 6)

We use the iPads to take pictures and make an autumn collage. We love playing games on the iPads and using Bee Bots. (Macy and Phoebe - Reception)

We have been learning how to make Ebooks which are online books. We used our writing in English to do this and loved using the different apps to publish our stories! (Joseph and Ted - Year 3/4).

Curriculum Intent

It is our intent at Coxhoe Primary School to provide all of our children with a high-quality education in computing which provides access to an ever changing and expanding digital world. We wish to develop a love of computing and provide children with the ability to enhance their knowledge, skills and understanding through different types of media whilst keeping safety at the forefront of their minds.
