Pride in EDI 2023-24
We are so proud to achieve our GOLD! this year
After all of our hard work to achieve both Bronze and Silver awards for pride in EDIB, we have gone all the way to gain a Gold award.
Wish us luck on our journey!
EDIB - Silver Award
Coxhoe Primary School were delighted to once again work with Pride in EDIB to ensure that we are a welcoming and inclusive school for every individual.
Last year we worked towards our Silver Award. The Year 6 Rainbow Reps and the Inclusion Squad worked hard to help achieve this award, planning assemblies, class discussions as well as our PRIDE event in June which got very colourful!
Thanks to the hard work of the children and staff we ACHIEVED our silver award.
Craft Activity
Have a go of crafting your very own pride rainbow, keep it for yourself or give it as a gift.
Coming Soon
As part of our curriculum, the children take part in lots of lessons and activities that promote inclusion. Keep a look out for some examples of their work and those lessons.
Colouring Activity
Choose one of our inclusion themed posters to print out and colour in. You could hand it in to a teacher to pop up in your class or around school to show everyone how important inclusion is.
Rainbow Reps
The Rainbow Reps are small group of Year 6 children from Coxhoe Primary School who try to ensure inclusion, diversity and respect in our school for the LGBTQ+ community. We believe that it doesn’t matter your gender, race, beliefs or age, everybody deserves to be treated equally.
Pride in EDIB & our British Values
At Coxhoe Primary School, British Values are promoted across the school to provide students the opportunity to develop an understanding of the importance of respect within our modern world.
Our work towards the Pride in EDIB awards has developed our school's understanding of inclusivity and how we can help support and celebrate our differences.
