Inclusion Squad

What is the Inclusion Squad?

Our Inclusion squad are a group of pupils from Year 5 and Year 6 lead by Mrs O'Sullivan. Their primary role is to promote inclusion in school and be the pupil voice for pupil wellbeing and positive mental health. They have also been known as 'Wellbeing warriors'. They work towards the same goal.

What our members have to say about being about being a Wellbeing warrior:

"I love being part of something special that improves the school, students and staff."

"Chillfest was awesome, wellbeing warriors got to help the children make stickmen and sensory waterbottles, if I wasn't a wellbeing warrior I would have missed out."

"Being a wellbeing warrior is a really special job, I have learnt so much about how to support people when they are sad."

"I love to help people and I feel this role will help me when I go to Secondary school."

What are we doing?

In April we worked together to look at our displays around school. We identified that we needed to update our display in the hall. Lucy has lead on this and has worked with all classes to gain their views on what inclusion looks like in our school.

In May we met to discuss how we would run our upcoming 'Chillfest' event. We discussed last year's sucesses and how to build on this. We will be running the fidget aid stand which those who attend can take home to use to support positive mental wellbeing.
